What is User?

A User is a real person who uses the Account. Usually, a User could be a member of your team. The role of User varies based on the current context. The context could be Account or Stack.

The User roles in the Account context are Admin, Manager, Generic, Guest and the User roles in the Stack context are Manager, Developer, Quality Analyst, Auditor.

User Login

You can login to the Account using the portal URL. If MFA feature is enabled on the Account, you will be asked for a time-based OTP.

Generate API Key

Go to API Keys view by clicking the User dropdown menu on the top menu bar. To generate a new API Key, navigate to Generate API Key view by clicking the icon on the right pane.

An API Key consists of an identifier, secret and token data. The secret data is not revealed, but it is used to generate a token. You can refresh a specific token by using icon.

Create User

Load the Users block on Dashboard view by clicking the icon on the left pane. To create a new User, click the icon on top of the block and navigate to Create User form by using the Create User link.

Important: The Username cannot be changed once set. Please be cautious while choosing the Username.

Update User

Load the Users block on Dashboard view by clicking the icon on the left pane. To update a specific User, click the icon of that User and navigate to Update User form.

Configure MFA

Important: You must install Google Authenticator mobile app on your phone to generate time-based OTP. The OTP will be asked during User authentication.

Load the Users block on Dashboard view by clicking the icon on the left pane. To configure MFA for a specific User, click the icon of that User and navigate to QR Code view. Let the User scan the QR Code with the Google Authenticator mobile app on his phone to generate time-based OTP.

Important: Only the Account admin can configure MFA on his own, others must contact the Account admin to configure MFA.


Change Password

Load the Users block on Dashboard view by clicking the icon on the left pane. To change password for a specific User, click the icon of that User and navigate to Change Password form.

Important: Only the Account admin can change the password on his own, others must contact the Account admin to change their password.
