What is Server?

A Server is a physical or virtual machine having hostname (or) IP address. The Server is referenced while creating a Map.

Add Server

Navigate to a specific Stack view by clicking the icon of the Stack on Dashboard view. Then, load the Servers block on Stack view by clicking the icon on the left pane. To add a new Server, click the icon on top of the block and navigate to Add Server form by using the Add Server link.

Update Server

Navigate to a specific Stack view by clicking the icon of the Stack on Dashboard view. Then, load the Servers block on Stack view by clicking the icon on the left pane. To update a specific Server, click the icon of that Server and navigate to Update Server form.

Deploy Utility

  1. Install system packages required for the SloopEngine command-line utility.

    
    $ sudo apt-get update
    $ sudo apt-get install -y python-dev python-setuptools python-pip git gcc
    
    
    
    $ sudo yum update
    $ sudo yum install -y python-devel python-setuptools git gcc
    $ sudo easy_install pip
    
    
  2. Install SloopEngine command-line utility package.

    
    $ sudo pip install slen-utils --no-binary slen-utils
    
    
  3. Configure SloopEngine command-line utility.

    Important: You need to generate an API Key to get identifier and token.

    
    $ sudo slen-config
     Enter system base home directory : /opt/slen
     Enter account full domain : sloopstash-prd.pod-2.sloopengine.io
     Enter account scheme : https
     Enter user api key identifier: 901569d2-478a-4790-a102-65251d5d
     Enter user api key token: BhcOAhGtG4rORHV9F7FrWuzR/qvzkeUAHS1aziVBrs=
